Troutlake

An Early Troutlake Vaca
Itching to go somewhere we went up to the Stryker's Troutlake property for a 2 day visit. It's a quick 1.5 hour drive up the Gorge and a pleasant one to do as it is always a beautiful drive. At the base of Mount Adams, we not only thrive, but get energized and refreshed, playing outside, hiking around on the property, going to Hood River for yummy dinners, and just hanging out. Above: Lily and Taj crossing the multiple bridges that cross the irrigation canal. From May to November, it is a beautiful creek. Just another month and the water would be ripping through there.
Below: Denali going "ape" in the background. HE IS A MOOSE!

Below: Jedi Taj with his stick lightsaber.

On our way out our last day we had to build a campfire for smores. It was too chilly during the nights to have one, so at 9:30 a.m., T and I thought it was a perfect time for sugary sweet chocolately warm toasted smores. MMMmmmmmm.
